About Crittenden, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Crittenden dates back to the early 1800s, and it as previously known as “Pin Hook.” Renamed for former Kentucky Governor John J. Crittenden, this community is now home to about 2,400 residents. It is located in portions of Grant and Kenton Counties in northern Kentucky. Crittenden is easily accessible to many nearby communities via Interstate 75: Cincinnati is only 27 miles north, while Lexington is a mere 56 miles south.

Whether you live in Crittenden or plan to visit the area, there are a few places that you will want to check out. The Brianza Winery offers several unique, local wines to taste, and local specialty shops like Too Good to be Threw, Blossom Basket, and Snoppy Fox are great places to get an inexpensive gift. During the winter months, some residents maintain their golden glow at Sun Lovers Tanning, and popular local restaurants include Whippy-Dip and China Castle.

If humid and hot weather sounds like a dream, Crittenden may be the perfect place for you. The hottest month of the year is July, and temperatures average in the upper-80s. High humidity levels make it feel even hotter, and man days see thermostat readings into the 90s. A central air conditioner is a necessity for most residents, especially young children and the elderly, and Energy Star systems can keep cooling costs affordable.

Crittenden winters are markedly different from summer conditions. Cold temperatures in the 30s and 40s are the norm, although the area tends to be dryer than other parts of the U.S. throughout the season. Snowfall levels vary from year to year but usually do not exceed two feet of total accumulation. However, freezing conditions are quite common, and residents need to take precautions to stay safe. The right furnace will keep both their homes and family safe regardless of what is going on outdoors.
